Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
